How HarborLine Remodeling, LLC collects, uses, and protects your information — across our website, booking system, and phone and text line. Effective August 22, 2026.
HarborLine Remodeling, LLC is a Massachusetts home improvement company based in Norwell, MA. This notice covers our website (harborlineremodeling.com), our online booking and quoting system, and our business phone and text line, (781) 531-9705. Information you give us. When you request an appointment or quote, sign in, or contact us: your name, email address, phone number, service address, preferred dates, and the project details, notes, and photos you share.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers; we receive payment confirmations and receipt details.
Phone & voicemail. We do not record live phone conversations. If a call isn't answered and you choose to leave a voicemail, that message is recorded and stored so we can return your call.
Text messages. Texts you send to our business number are received and forwarded to our business email so we can respond.
Automatically. A single essential sign-in cookie (see §6) and standard server logs. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
To provide, schedule, and perform the services you request; prepare and send quotes; process payments and issue receipts; send transactional emails (sign-in links, booking confirmations, quote and appointment updates, review requests after completed work); respond to your calls and texts; keep the records Massachusetts law requires us to keep for home improvement contracts; and maintain and secure the site. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Our text line is consumer-initiated: we message you by text only when you text our published business number first, and our replies are conversational — answers about our services, service area, hours, scheduling, and quotes. Message frequency varies with the conversation. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts, or HELP for assistance.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information above regarding sharing with subcontractors and service providers (§5) excludes mobile opt-in and consent data entirely.
Only service providers acting on our instructions to run the business, each receiving the minimum needed for its job: Stripe (payment processing), Netlify (website hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Twilio (phone and text line). Beyond that, we disclose personal information only if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights or safety of a person, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business — never for marketing, and never in exchange for payment.
Signing in places one essential cookie (hl_session) that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It exists only to make your account work; there are no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies. If your browser blocks cookies, sign-in won't function.
Booking, quote, and payment records are retained as needed to perform the work and as required for our contract, warranty, tax, and M.G.L. c. 142A record-keeping obligations — generally at least three years after a project. Voicemails and text relays are kept as ordinary business correspondence. You can ask us to delete information we're not legally required to keep (§9).
The site is served over TLS; account access uses expiring email sign-in links rather than stored passwords; payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe; and our phone and payment webhooks are cryptographically signed and verified. No system is perfectly secure — if you suspect a problem with your information, tell us at tim@harborlineremodeling.com and we'll investigate promptly.
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what the law doesn't require us to retain — email tim@harborlineremodeling.com or call (781) 531-9705 and we'll respond within a reasonable time. You can opt out of texts any time by replying STOP. The emails we send are transactional (tied to your bookings and quotes) rather than marketing.
Our services and website are directed to adults and homeowners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
If we change this notice, we'll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and flag material changes on the site. Continued use of the site and our services after a change means the updated notice applies.
